About CanDo

CanDo is a Slovak student team competing in the ESA CanSat competition, organised in Slovakia by the Slovak Space Office.

Our goal is to design, build, and launch a fully functional satellite the size of a soda can — collecting atmospheric data during descent and transmitting it in real time to our ground station.

The project combines aerospace engineering, software development, and 3D design — all done by three students from Slovakia.

What is CanSat?

CanSat is a European Space Agency competition where student teams build a fully functional satellite the size of a soft drink can. The satellite is launched to ~1000 m by a rocket and must complete its mission during descent.

Every team must complete a primary mission — measuring air temperature and pressure — and a secondary mission of their own design. CanDo's secondary mission involves capturing aerial imagery and transmitting it live to the ground station.
